As previously stated by President Joe Biden himself to the assembled press, “The rules are the rules.” He stated this when asked about a famous sprinter who was suspended in the wake of testing positive for THC, which is the active ingredient for the high in marijuana.
If the same sentiment follows true for his love of following the rules, then he must be horrified to learn that his brand new White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, is classified as a threat to democracy, due to what the Left stated about any and all who question the legitimacy of our election process and the actual elections.
The crafter “rules” that define things such as a “threat to democracy” were set in place by the far-Left just after the 2020 election results came in, when then-President Donald J. Trump, many dozens of elected officials, and even more millions of people in the American public had questions about the legitimacy of the election results. They called for Fraud when claiming a set of nefarious actors stole it from their grasp. They even went as far as to try and push the voters of the electoral college to hand the victory over to Trump.
However, it should be highlighted that a few dozen progressive pundits made it entirely crystal clear that showing any doubt whatsoever about the election and giving those concerns a voice was all that was needed to brand a person a threatening menace to the base foundations of our democracy.
Before the elections in 2020, Brian Stetle with CNN made the argument in a piece named, “The threat to democracy we all should have seen coming,” that any statements made by Trump concerning any possible election interference were only hurting democracy as an idea.
I the questioning of the legitimacy of the institutions of America, doubting the accuracy of the vote carried out, and spreading false claims is seen as a threat to democracy, then Jean-Pierre’s social media post history should have many worried and end up blocking her from the position.
This past Thursday morning, The Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy issued a report that back in December of 2016, Jean-Pierre stated via a tweet, “Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election … welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump.”

What’s this? A claim of a stolen election with zero provided evidence? This seems to hit all of the hallmarks that the LEft has claimed it does not tolerate, at least when speaking about any Republicans who make the same claims.
Another example is seen in the wake of the 2020 election when a columnist for the Washington Post, Paul Waldman, stated that Republicans were “spreading false claims about voter fraud, to convince their own base that the election is right now being stolen from Trump, its rightful winner.”
Dunleavy highlighted that “In May 2018, [Jean-Pierre] tweeted, ‘Boom’ in response to Judy Woodruff of PBS News tweeting that Obama director of national intelligence James Clapper ‘says he’s personally concluded Russians not only influenced but DECIDED outcome of 2016 election.'”

These comments from Clapper did not seem to have any sort of basis in fact and came out a few years after the election took place.
Dunleavy went on to explain: “Jean-Pierre also tweeted, ‘Jimmy Carter for the win’ in June 2019 when the former president said that if the matter were fully investigated, it ‘would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016. … He was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.’”

The new secretary also “shared calls for the Electoral College to reject Trump’s win,” as reported by Dunleavy, When she issued a tweet with a Think Progress link titled “Electoral College must reject Trump unless he sells his business.”
Every single one of these actions, and the large number more that are also covered by Dunleavy, would easily meet the Leftist belief calling for doubt, or even screaming for an entire overthrow of an election, is the same thing as declaring war on American democracy as we know it.
In conclusion and based on the definitions set out by the Left itself, she is a threat to democracy. You can agree to disagree with the standard that has been set up, but as Old Uncle Joe said, “The rules are the rules.”
