With His Poll Numbers In Freefall, Biden Acknowledges That The U.S. Is Struggling

Recently, Democrat President Joe Biden acknowledged as part of his remarks this past week that the U.S. has been struggling while his poll numbers seem to be entirely in freefall and the vast majority of the country, which has now started to include Democrats, claims that the nation is headed in the entirely wrong direction while Biden is in office.

“Our economy is growing but not without pain,” stated Biden, despite the fact the U.S. economy dropped by 1.6% over the first quarter of this year and there is an extreme fear of a recession getting worse every week.

“Liberty is under assault — assault both here and abroad,” he went on. “In recent days, there’s been reason to think that this country is moving backward, that freedom is being reduced, that rights we assumed were protected are no longer.  A reminder that we remain in an ongoing battle for the soul of America, as we have for over 200 years.”

Biden’s statements take place in the wake of a recent Associated Press-NORC poll discovering that healthy bipartisan majorities within America are showing their disapproval of the direction the country is headed.

“Most Americans, 85%, say the country is headed in the wrong direction,” stated a recent report. “A majority of Republicans have been unhappy with the direction of the country since Biden’s election. Democrats had been positive about how things were going, but now 78% say the country is headed in the wrong direction.”

It was specified via the report that almost 92% of Republicans claim that the country is headed in the entirely wrong direction, and in the same vein, 85% of independents stand with them.

The poll, which took place soon after the approval rating for Biden dropped to 30%, a historic low as claimed in another survey, follows the record shatteringly high inflation levels, record gas prices, seemingly never ended crises, and an extremely poorly rated economy as a whole.

“Seventy-nine percent of adults consider the national economy to be in poor condition,” stated the report. “The increasingly negative perceptions are driven by increasing pessimism among Democrats.  A year ago, 37% of Democrats and 68% of Republicans described the national economy as poor. In the latest survey, 67% of Democrats say national economy is poor, and 90% of Republicans say the same.”

These horrid numbers for Biden come to light as another survey, this time from Gallup, made the claim that a record low number of the American people would consider themselves “extremely proud” to be an American.

“The 38% of U.S. adults who say they are ‘extremely proud’ to be American is the lowest in Gallup’s trend, which began in 2001,” read the Gallup report. “Republicans’ pride in being American has consistently outpaced Democrats’ and independents’ since 2001 and does so today. However, Republicans’ extreme national pride (58%) is now at its lowest point in the trend. Independents’ extreme pride, at 34%, is likewise the lowest on record for the group.”

“After hitting a 22% low point in 2019, Democrats’ extreme pride rose to 31% in 2021 at the start of Joe Biden’s presidency, but it is down this year to 26%,” concluded the report. “All three major party groups show double-digit declines in pride compared with 2013, with Democrats’ 30-point decline the largest.”
