A seasoned House Intelligence Committee staffer, now acting as a whistleblower, informed the FBI that Senator Adam Schiff allegedly approved classified information leaks aimed at undermining President Trump. The whistleblower, who has since described the conduct as both “treasonous” and “illegal,” brought forward these claims based on a meeting in 2017.
According to the staffer’s account, Schiff addressed a full committee meeting and instructed aides to leak sensitive material that painted Trump in a negative light—with the intent of facilitating an indictment. Colleagues at the meeting allegedly reassured the staffer that there would be no consequences for such actions.
The FBI interviewed the whistleblower in 2023, and the documents detailing these allegations were later shared with Congress. This development adds weight to ongoing scrutiny over the political handling of classified intelligence during that period.
