Hillary Clinton sharply criticized the House Oversight Committee ahead of her closed-door deposition in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, describing the proceedings as politically driven.
In remarks made before appearing before lawmakers, the former Secretary of State questioned the intent behind the inquiry while reaffirming that she does not recall ever meeting Epstein.
During her testimony, Clinton told the panel she had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct and maintained she had no involvement with him or his activities.
Her deposition was part of an ongoing congressional review examining Epstein’s network and connections to prominent figures.
Clinton also emphasized that she cooperated with investigators by answering questions based on what she knew as the inquiry moved forward.
