Meathead’s Liberal Movie Gets Flushed At The Box Office

Rob Reiner, the original Meathead, decided to make a liberal movie and packed it with stars but it still opened at about $41,000 or $410 per screen. The Paint Drying Movie Part 2 did just slightly better. In contrast, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, which topped ticket sales earned $44,100,00.

The movie is alleged to be a true movie about two reporters who find the real motivation for invading Iraq. (In the liberal mind only) Directors have been putting out liberal flop after liberal flop. The thing they forget is that Conservatives have jobs and can afford to go to movies. Few liberals can see the movie because most movie theaters don’t accept food stamps.

The critics have also been far less than complimentary.

Now granted, the latter is a big budget kids movie, but in comparison, Shock and Awe earned about the same amount on its first weekend as Show Dogs did for the same period. That film has been running for 9 weeks and ranks 17 percent on the Rotten Tomatometer.

“For all that, Shock and Awe (which was made available on demand prior to its theatrical release) is a slim, at-times too-obvious portrayal of an important story, as well as the fundamental calling of journalism when it comes to holding the powerful to account,” Bryan Lowry wrote for CNN.

He added about the flick: “By that measure, it’s an earnest but not particularly awe-inspiring as a movie, and even as a treatise on reporters doggedly pursuing the truth in the face of obfuscation and denials, nor is it especially shocking.”

The movie may die a premature death since most movie theaters are not nonprofit. Those that are wouldn’t know a good movie if it bit them on the butt. Perhaps he should have spent more time catering to the American people and less time focusing on his nonsense Anti-Trump rhetoric. But hey, that’s just two my cents.
