Musk has come to the defense of Yoel Roth, the “Head of Safety & Integrity” at Twitter and a well-known socialist who has previously equated members of the Trump administration to Nazis.

The New York Post reports that Elon Musk backs Twitter “Head of Safety & Integrity” Yoel Roth. Elon Musk tweeted a conversation in which Roth took part and said it proved the company’s attorneys and the board had misled him about the platform’s metrics, drawing negative attention to Roth.

Musk adhered to his pledge to acquire the social media behemoth for $44 billion last week, citing the “huge potential” of the corporation, despite his past accusations that Twitter was overvalued due to its reluctance to reveal the number of bogus users on its platform.

In a tweet titled “Wachtell & Twitter board purposely hid this information from the court,” Musk included a screenshot of Roth’s testimony. This is a preview of things to come, as promised.

To Roth’s defense, Musk immediately responded, “We’ve all made some problematic tweets, me more than most, but I want to be clear that I back Yoel.” Conservative podcast host Liz Wheeler had previously said that Musk should have fired Roth first. He strikes me as an honest and upstanding individual, and while I disagree with his political stances, I recognize his right to them.

Many others have pointed out that Roth has a bias towards conservative users and has called Trump administration members “actual Nazis,” most notably the novelist and podcast presenter Captured.

Roth dubbed Trump’s advisors “ACTUAL NAZIS IN THE WHITE HOUSE” and compared former President Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway to Nazi propaganda commander Joseph Goebbels.

Senatorial Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was referred to by Roth as a “personality-free sack of farts,” and Roth claimed that he had donated $100 to Hillary Clinton. In another tweet, Roth said, “I’m just saying, we fly over those states that voted for a racist tangerine for a reason.” He was referring to states in the middle of the country.

Since Musk’s takeover, Roth has been in contact with a wide variety of civil rights and left-leaning organizations to discuss how the company might “combat intolerance & abuse.”
