After being mocked online for hopping on the “woke bandwagon,” the NHL disabled user comments.
Responding to a critic who asked, “So, guys playing on a woman’s team? [sic],” the National Hockey League (NHL) praised the inaugural tournament for transgender and nonbinary players this past weekend in Middleton, Wisconsin.
In other words, trans women are women. Transgender males are just that: men. NHL reaffirmed the reality of nonbinary identities.

After those comments were made, a massive outcry ensued, causing the NHL to restrict who could respond.
