Mike Pence’s Worst-Case Scenario for Donald Trump

Perhaps Mike Pence is using this as an opportunity to demonstrate that he is not a full-on anti-Trump Republican, but there is also a dash of worry trolling somewhere. The former vice president gave his thoughts on the four alleged accusations against Donald Trump for his behavior on the day of the Capitol Building incident, which were included in the criminal referrals agreed on by the House Select Committee on January 6.

Even though it’s all political drama, the Democrats and RINO Republicans’ fixation on the ex-president is becoming increasingly unpleasant. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is our party’s most irritating lawmaker. Wyoming, a traditionally Republican state where you have to work hard to lose your job, dumped her in the primary because of her extreme anti-Trump antics.

The Justice Department under Biden has just gone off the tracks, and while Pence may have ulterior intentions, he is accurate in his judgment.

Hours before the House elect committee looking into the disturbance in the Capitol on January 6, 2021, publicly agreed to submit four criminal charges against Trump, 76, connected to January 6, to the Justice Department, the former vice president made these statements.

When asked about the possibility of indicting a former U.S. president, Pence said to Fox News, “I believe the Justice Department realizes the enormity, the very thought of indicting a former U.S. president.”

At a time when the majority of Americans are hoping for national unity, that would cause significant harm and rift. I pray that the Justice Department will use great caution in this matter since, at this time of year, we all reflect on what is most dear to us—our faith and our families.

Pence, with his daughter in the Capitol on January 6, said that Trump’s behavior that day was “reckless” but that the president is to blame for receiving “poor advice from attorneys.” A New York Post Article

Considering a run for president in 2024, Pence is likely trying to anticipate the conservative base’s feelings at that time, which are to remain conservative but desire to move on from Donald Trump the man rather than his popular ideas. Among the many reasons Joe Biden decided to retain his SALT provisions was their positive impact on the middle and working classes. It clarifies Trump’s muddled stance by saying he acted recklessly but followed terrible legal advice. The only problem with Pence’s goals is that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who may or may not run for president in 2020, will be the one to fully grab the Trump mantle and carry the GOP forward with the MAGA movement. After two storms devastated the state, he is more concerned with cleanup efforts.

In August, the FBI conducted a raid at Trump Tower. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump gets prosecuted; it might be a Hail Mary attempt to bring formal accusations. That wouldn’t deter Trump from running for president again, indictment or no indictment.
