The White House has made it plain that the repeal of Title 42 does not mean that the border is open, and it has claimed that those who continue to voice doubt are helping “the traffickers.”

Title 42 has been used over 2.5 million times since March 2020, when it was first introduced to discourage immigration.

Despite preparations being made in cities on both sides of the border for the expiration of Title 42, an immigration restriction enacted during the outbreak, the White House has stated that the wall would not open.

During Monday’s White House press briefing, News Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to avoid questions about the long-term effects of the expiration of Title 42.

“Let me clarify this point, so there is no misunderstanding. However, even if Title 42 was nullified, that didn’t mean the border was now free for anybody to cross it.” In this case, it was Jean-Pierre who made the observation. Any denial of this reality is aiding the highly lethal disinformation effort being undertaken by the traffickers.

Title 42, a public health statute enacted in March 2020, has been used over 2.5 million times to halt immigration. On Wednesday, it will be nullified and of no further effect. Border cities have been scrambling to get state and federal money in anticipation of the impending cold and the potential doubling of daily new arrivals. Late last week, El Paso, Texas, declared a border emergency. There have been a record number of illegal border crossings into Texas, prompting Governor Greg Abbott to declare an invasion, and several counties in Texas have declared emergencies.

In response to Jean-claim Pierre’s that anybody in the country “without being accepted or paroled, or who enters in the United States at any time or location other than as designated by the Attorney General, is inadmissible,” the Biden administration would once again rely on Title 8.

The illegal immigrants, Jean-Pierre assured us, would be deported right away. This is why we will continue to enforce our immigration laws in a firm but fair manner.

Jean-Pierre reiterated her past claims that Republican lawmakers were unwilling to work with Democrats on immigration reform. A reporter expressed skepticism about the impact of the Republicans’ control of Congress, noting that “virtually no change in immigration policy” occurred while the Democrats had the majority.

“We had to beg for the $3.5 billion. We’ll keep asking Congress for assistance with the border situation if they, especially Republican members, are willing to provide it. “This is what Jean-Pierre had to say.

Karine Jean-Pierre said, “the president’s priority right now is to make sure that we have the resources to manage what’s going right” when asked whether President Joe Biden planned to visit the border (something he has yet to do as president).
