Hello, friends! People who disagree with your political beliefs are no longer “guilty until proven innocent”; instead, they have the “right to a trial to prove their innocence.”
You should hear out former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi instead of trusting me on this. (D-CA). Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tweeted after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted former President Donald Trump, “The Grand Jury has moved based on the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a hearing to show their innocence. We hope that the former President will follow the system, which gives him that right, and do so calmly.”
Trump is “guilty” in Pelosi’s eyes right now, as he has been in the eyes of Democrats ever since he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016. The “Bad Orange Man” has eluded capture despite the best efforts of Congress, the Justice Department, the FBI, the State of New York, and many others over the past seven years.
The Left finally got their guy in 2022, when a barrister funded by George Soros reduced 52% of all felony penalties to misdemeanors.
Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton responded to Pelosi’s shocking statement by saying, “By saying that Trump is guilty until proven innocent, Pelosi admits that she is trying to hurt Trump politically!”
“Holy sh*t. Someone needs to tell this old hag that in America, no one has to PROVE THEMSELVES INNOCENT. at least that’s how it was for the first 240 years. then Trump came along and blew their minds,” American comedian and talk show presenter Gerry Callahan once penned.
Why do folks keep holding Trump responsible for…? According to lawyer and law expert Jonathan Turley, the case will be “legally pathetic” because it goes against precedent by arguing that illegal campaign contributions made in private to a pornstar should be considered a political rather than a personal expenditure. You’re not wrong to get an impression of sleazy political maneuvering. It would be unethical and cause a lot of problems in American politics if someone did that. On Fox News, Turley speculated that Trump “may be the first former president to be indicted.” But, if this serves as a model, he is not the last of his kind.
That seems to be the path America will take.
This case is doomed from the outset if the most powerful lady in Washington expresses the opinion that she does not believe a person is innocent until proven guilty. As if you needed any more evidence.
