The North Face, along with fellow American companies Bud Light and Target, has recently come under fire for its Pride advertising.

Already, the company’s Instagram post promoting its Summer of Pride campaign has been met with backlash from conservative customers.

Drag queen “Pattie Gonia” encourages viewers to “come out… in nature with us!” and “declare yourself a real-life homosexual!” in the commercial.

Hey, my name is Patti, and I’m a confirmed lesbian. “North Face and I are here today to extend an invitation to you to spend some time outdoors.” Pattie, who on their website uses the pronouns “she,” “he,” and “they,” says

To honor you and the many wonderful ways you enjoy the outdoors, The North Face and (they/he) will once again co-host Summer of Pride this year.

Previous year, Pattie Gonia proclaimed, “Nature lets you be who you are… even gay!” in a commercial for the same company.

Please accept my sincere invitation to celebrate Pride with me and my North Face pals this summer. We are on a trip across the entire United States.

Put on your armor and march along with us! Have fun, friends!

The North Face’s ‘Outside Together’ collection for 2023 comprises rainbow-colored teen and adult tees and hoodies, as well as a variety of blankets and camping accessories.

The North Face publicly stated their support for the initiative on Instagram.

The future of the outdoors is in our brand’s hands, and we intend for it to be a more inclusive and supportive environment for all people.

A commenter warned that any negative feedback would be deleted, saying, “We’re partnering with Pattie because we believe the outdoors are for everyone.”

The parent company of The North Face, VF, has seen its stock drop by seven percent since the ad’s release yesterday.

Target’s stock has dropped by 11 percent since Monday.

After receiving a flood of negative feedback, the company decided to pull some of the most controversial goods from sale. These included t-shirts with the phrase “Satan respects pronouns,” designed by a British transgender designer.

Designer Erik Cullen says he wasn’t upset that Target took down his work to ensure the safety of its employees and customers.

Due to ‘volatile’ consumer behavior, Target has decided to pull back on some Pride merchandise, according to the company’s director of crisis communications.

No acts of violence have been reported.

Most of the criticism on TikTok and Twitter has come from moms.

Since launching this season’s collection, we’ve had to deal with threats that have made our employees feel less secure and happy at work.

The Minneapolis-based store said yesterday that due to the “volatile circumstances,” changes were being made to their plans, including the removal of items that have been the focus of the most serious aggressive conduct.

Conservatives condemned the store for carrying Pride products at all, while liberals criticized the company for pulling the line.

Target’s largest market’s governor, Gavin Newsom, has called the retailer out for “selling out LGBTQ communities.

“Target CEO Brian Cornell has a real profile in courage for selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists.” This isn’t a small number of Southern locations.

Everywhere in the United States, the LGBT community is under siege. American citizens, please get up and about. The trouble doesn’t end here.

You’re black? Whoa, you’re not white; you’re Asian? Whoa, you’re Jewish! Are you female? He warned me that I was next yesterday.
