In a bold move that defies political history and challenges the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and President Biden, Marianne Williamson, a bestselling author and spiritual adviser, is unafraid to speak out against what she perceives as a departure from democratic principles.

Despite the DNC’s unanimous resolution to fully support Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in their bid for re-election, as well as their decision to forego primary debates with Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., an environmental lawyer and renowned vaccine critic, Williamson believes that such actions undermine democracy.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Williamson expressed her belief that the Democratic electorate should have the opportunity to evaluate all candidates and treat the campaign season as an extensive job interview process. She emphasized that voters deserve the chance to interview each candidate, including the president.

While Williamson, Kennedy, and other party members criticize the DNC and Biden, their actions are not without precedent. In recent times, incumbent presidents have not participated in primary debates. In the previous presidential election cycle, the Republican National Committee also refrained from scheduling primary debates when former President Donald Trump faced a few long-shot challengers.

Williamson stressed the importance of recognizing public sentiment, claiming that people are displeased with the DNC’s overt admission of supporting the president during the primary season. She believes this goes against democratic principles and that all candidates should be given a fair chance to be heard, not just for their own sake but for the sake of the voters.

During her campaign in New Hampshire, Williamson acknowledged the state’s significance in the nominating process. While the DNC made changes to the nominating calendar, attempting to promote diversity within the Democratic Party, New Hampshire’s state law mandating the first presidential primary may lead to an unsanctioned primary that Biden may avoid. This presents an opportunity for Kennedy or Williamson to pose political challenges to the president’s re-election.

Williamson criticized the manipulation and control she perceives from the DNC, emphasizing that the democratic process itself is at stake. She pointed out that American people tend to dislike such interference and highlighted the importance of states asserting their autonomy in the face of the DNC’s desires.

Regarding her campaign’s progress, Williamson noted that polls at this early stage are not definitive indicators. She mentioned similarities to Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders at the beginning of their campaigns and expressed confidence in her standing. Williamson believes that her focus on issues such as universal healthcare and addressing climate change aligns with the desires of a majority of Americans.

Addressing the turnover of campaign managers, Williamson dismissed it as insignificant, claiming that it takes time to assemble the right team. She accused others of purposefully creating narratives to distort the reality of her campaign.

In her quest for the presidency, Marianne Williamson remains resolute in her commitment to democratic principles and the voice of the American people.
