The Justice Department has agreed to bring U.S. Attorney David Weiss before Congress to testify about the Hunter Biden investigation. The decision comes after House Republicans insisted on questioning Weiss and a dozen other government officials.

Weiss, who oversaw the investigation, is expected to face tough questions about whether the probe was tainted by political bias. Republicans have accused the DOJ of blocking certain lines of questioning about President Biden and of refusing to charge Hunter Biden in certain jurisdictions.

The investigation is also looking into whether the FBI and the IRS tipped off the Biden transition team about the investigation into Hunter Biden. This would have given the Biden team a chance to disrupt the investigation.

The House Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight Committee, and the House Ways and Means Committee are all involved in the investigation. The committees are trying to determine whether political considerations influenced any prosecution decisions in the federal investigation into Hunter Biden.

The testimony of U.S. Attorney Weiss is likely to be a major event. It could shed light on the extent of any political bias in the investigation and could also lead to further investigations.

The investigation into the Hunter Biden investigation is a complex and politically charged one. It is likely to continue for some time, and it could have a significant impact on the Biden administration.
