In a recent interview, a former U.S. senator recounted a confrontational encounter with then-Vice President Joe Biden, where he sternly warned Biden about his behavior after an incident involving the senator’s wife.

Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown (R-NH), who later served as U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand under the Trump administration, shared this anecdote during a conversation on “Tom Shattuck’s Burn Barrel.”

Opening the dialogue, Shattuck highlighted the decline in Biden’s popularity, playfully attributing it to his actions that have raised eyebrows, like his infamous hair-sniffing habit. “People are getting uncomfortable with his actions, particularly women who find it unsettling,” Shattuck remarked to Brown.

Acknowledging his acquaintance with Biden, Brown delved into the topic of Biden’s health concerns, stating, “We’ve all seen individuals exhibiting signs of dementia or early stages of Alzheimer’s, and it’s evident in his walk, his mumbling, and sudden bursts of anger.” Expressing disappointment, Brown emphasized the need for better options for leadership in the nation but noted that many potential candidates are deterred by the current political landscape.

Shattuck then brought up a previous incident that Brown had shared, involving Biden’s alleged inappropriate behavior towards his wife.

“I recall you mentioning something about when you were sworn in as a senator, Biden exhibited strange behavior towards your wife,” Shattuck inquired.

Brown confirmed the incident, recalling his response, “Yes, that’s right. I actually told him I’d confront him about it – I warned him to cease the behavior.”

Elaborating on the incident, Brown explained that Biden’s actions did not align with his expectations, and he took the opportunity to address it directly. “We confronted him about his conduct, calling him out on his actions,” Brown stated.

When pressed if he had confronted Biden in person during the incident, Brown affirmed, “Absolutely, I addressed it right then and there.”

This candid revelation sheds light on a unique interaction between a former senator and a high-profile political figure, emphasizing the importance of holding leaders accountable for their actions.
