Actor Kevin Costner has indicated, in a dramatic turn that has occurred during the current hearing for his divorce, that he may pursue legal action over the critically acclaimed series “Yellowstone.” During his evidence in the divorce dispute he was involved in with his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, the truth came to light.
During the course of the hearing, Costner has been involved in a heated discussion with Baumgartner’s attorney. It was during this portion of the hearing that he made the shocking remark about his income. When asked about the similarities and differences between his residence and the five-lot compound he owns, Costner replied, “I only live in one of the properties so I believe they’re comparable.” My opinion is that they are not comparable.
When asked whether he would move in with his ex-wife, Kevin Costner laughed and said, “This is tricky!” in response to the reporter’s question. He went on to say, “No, I would not, but not because I don’t believe that residence is equivalent. In this house, I brought up three children, and all of them had their hands in the stone. I believe that the majority of individuals would comprehend that.
After that, with a grin on his face, he said, “There are some features [of Baumgartner’s new house] I’d like to have in mine.”
During his evidence, Costner addressed a variety of financial matters related to his divorce case, including his revenues from the well watched series “Yellowstone.” He voiced his worries with the production of the program and made a veiled threat of possible legal action by adding, “I’m unhappy in the production. I’m going to have to take you to court for this.”
In addition, Costner revealed his next film series titled “Horizon,” which will consist of four parts and for which he has invested a total of $20 million. Although he is owed a fee of $12 million for each finished picture, he has withheld those payments in order to prevent the budget for the film from becoming overburdened.
When Kevin Costner was asked if he expected to make a profit on “Horizon” after film was released, he voiced his desire by remarking, “Boy, I’d like it to roll.”
The hearing for the divorce has been characterised by acrimonious exchanges between the separating couple and their respective legal teams. Both parties have presented their financial reasons to the judge. Child support payments have emerged as the primary source of contention between the two parties, with Costner offering $60,000 per month while Baumgartner is requesting $161,592 per month.
Throughout the proceedings, Baumgartner has provided specific examples of the luxurious lifestyle that the family enjoys, such as elaborate Christmas parties, vacations at Costner’s 160,000-acre ranch, and significant expenditure on flowers and presents. However, Costner’s legal team has accused her of making excessive financial demands and plans to utilize child support payments for her personal living costs, and they have accused her of intending to do both of these things.
It is anticipated that the divorce case will proceed, and a trial has been set for the month of November to handle the prenuptial agreement and issues for spousal support.
