Recently, it was revealed that former Vice President Joe Biden engaged in email correspondence with his son, Hunter Biden, in 2014 under the pseudonym “Robin Ware.” These emails, discovered on Hunter’s controversial laptop, revolved around discussions regarding the potential appointment of John McGrail to a White House position. At that time, McGrail served as the Deputy White House Counsel.
This exchange unfolded on June 23, 2014, with Hunter sending an email to “Robin Ware” via his Rosemont Seneca Partners email address. In the message, Hunter expressed, “Before you fill position pls talk to me—– J. McGrail very much wants to serve as detail fr treasury.” In a swift response, Joe Biden, using his alias, urged, “Re Johnny, give me a call right away, Dad.”
These emails represent just a fraction of the nearly 5,000 emails associated with the various aliases employed by Joe Biden. Notably, White House staff reportedly included Hunter Biden in approximately 10 emails sent to Joe’s fictitious accounts. In total, Hunter’s laptop contained 27 emails linked to Joe Biden’s alias email address.
In a separate instance, an email was addressed to an alias named “Robert Peters,” containing information about a scheduled conversation with then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. This email carries significance due to its focus on the dismissal of Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor who was investigating the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, where Hunter Biden held a board position, earning a substantial $83,000 per month. The email’s relevance lies in its connection to the removal of Viktor Shokin.
The House Oversight Committee has alleged that in 2015, Joe Biden exerted pressure to suspend U.S. funding to Ukraine unless Poroshenko complied with the removal of Shokin, who held jurisdiction over the Burisma investigation. This move was seen as an attempt to ensure Shokin’s firing.
Some lawmakers, including Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, contend that elected officials should be legally prohibited from using aliases while in public office. Greene underscores the importance of government transparency and emphasizes the oath of office taken to serve the American people and uphold the Constitution.
The House Oversight Committee has formally requested that the National Archives (NARA) provide any documents and communications in which Joe Biden employed aliases such as “Robert Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware” during his tenure as Vice President of the United States. NARA was given until August 31 to respond to this request. Prior to disclosing President Joe Biden’s alias emails and documents, the agency sought approval from both President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama.
