After a court ruled in his favor in the custody dispute he was engaged in with his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner voiced his opinion that there is “no winner” in an interview. Costner and Baumgartner have two children.

“You know, when you have a life that lengthy with somebody, there is no winner…and it’s this huge, crazy thing called life and how it unravels so quickly,” he added. “You know, when you have a life that long with somebody, there is no winner.” “One minute you’re feeling like you’re on top of the world, and then the next thing you know, you realize how, you know, how vulnerable you are.”

In addition, Costner discussed his view on co-parenting with Baumgartner moving ahead, expressing faith that the two of them will figure out a way to make it work. He said that she is an outstanding maternal figure. “We are going to find it out, and we are going to share. Right now, all we really need to do is rest and recuperate.

The custody dispute was decided in favor of Costner by the judge, and the amount of child support that was paid on a monthly basis was not raised. The increased amount that must be paid for child support each month is $63,209.

During his statement, Mr. Costner stressed the impact that the divorce has had on his life and indicated that as a result, he now has some duties that he cannot ignore. He also said that he and Baumgartner had a prenuptial agreement to safeguard their assets before they were married. He stated that he did this because he did not want to go through the same difficulties he suffered in his former marriage.

During the course of the court hearings, inquiries were asked concerning Mr. Costner’s finances. In response, Mr. Costner stated that he was not always entirely aware of all of his income and spending. Costner said that the numbers on the financial records supplied to him by his accountant were enormous, but that he accepted the calculations and signed them nonetheless. The divorce was filed on April 11, and Costner recalled that he trusted the figures and signed them.

During Costner’s testimony, one of the most important topics of conversation were the unique embellishments that Baumgartner had added to their joint residence, the Beach Club Compound. He went on to explain how she had improved the look of the home by making it more attractive and charming, in particular by converting a driveway and a garden into a playground for their children. Costner recognized her contributions to making the house a comfortable living space.

Baumgartner had done an excellent job of bringing the pair together, as pointed out by Costner, who remarked that the couple had shared five residences within the Beach Club Compound.

Christine Baumgartner and Kevin Costner had been married for 18 years when, in May, Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner, alleging “irreconcilable differences.” During the course of the divorce process, negotiations regarding child custody and support payments have taken place.

Baumgartner had originally requested $248,000 per month in child support for the couple’s three children, but was only granted the lower amount of $129,755 per month. The first bid that Costner had submitted was for $51,000. The current judgement kept the assistance payments at their previous low level.
