Irregularities Found in DOJ Investigation of Biden Associate

The Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation and prosecution of Patrick Ho, a high-ranking official at CEFC China Energy Co. with connections to the Biden family, has come under scrutiny for alleged “irregularities.” A memo released by the Heritage Foundation Oversight Project has raised significant concerns about how the DOJ handled this case.

One of the key issues highlighted in the memo is the alleged effort to conceal connections between CEFC and the Bidens. The memo suggests that the DOJ was aware of these connections as early as 2017, possibly even in 2016, due to FISA surveillance of Patrick Ho during a period of regular communication between CEFC and the Biden family. This indicates that federal law enforcement agencies might have been privy to the business dealings between the two parties well before they became public knowledge.

Another troubling aspect of the case is the redaction of mentions of the Biden family, particularly Hunter Biden, in the evidence presented during Patrick Ho’s trial. The memo points to instances where Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Richenthal requested redactions to avoid introducing a “political dimension.” Some of these redactions were eventually revealed through information found on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.

Additionally, the memo highlights how Hunter Biden was granted attorney-client privilege despite being a direct witness in the case. This raises questions about whether this privilege was used to shield information or communication related to the case.

Furthermore, Hunter Biden’s interactions with FBI agents following Patrick Ho’s arrest have also raised eyebrows. He was asked by one of Ho’s attorneys to provide the names of FBI agents he had spoken with, suggesting a level of communication that needs further investigation.

In light of these concerns, the memo calls for congressional oversight to address these irregularities and ensure transparency in the investigation and prosecution of Patrick Ho. It underscores the importance of an impartial and transparent DOJ in upholding the rule of law and maintaining public trust.
