President Biden addressed the nation with a firm stance on the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, emphasizing the U.S.’s support for Israel. Speaking from the White House alongside Vice President Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, President Biden stated that the U.S. “has Israel’s back” as it prepares for a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip following a deadly attack by Hamas militants on Israeli civilians, including women and children.

The President made it clear that the U.S. stands firmly with Israel, asserting its right to self-defense and its duty to protect its citizens. He condemned terrorism and specifically criticized Hamas for its stated goal of annihilating Israel and harming Jewish people. President Biden also confirmed that 14 Americans had been killed in the attacks, and some others were held hostage in Gaza. He pledged to work with Israel to ensure the safe release of these individuals.

Furthermore, President Biden promised that the U.S. would support Israel in obtaining the resources it needs, including maintaining the Iron Dome missile defense system. In conclusion, he firmly declared that “The United States has Israel’s back” and reaffirmed the U.S.’s unwavering support for Israel.
