Huckabee Sanders Takes Aim at ‘Woke’ Language with Executive Order

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas is making a strong stance on gender-specific language in the state. She has introduced an executive order that mandates the use of gender-specific terms when referring to women and prohibits the use of what she calls “woke, anti-women words” in official state government business.

In the executive order, Sanders emphasized the importance of recognizing the biological differences between men and women. She argued that the government should celebrate these distinctions rather than erase them. For instance, the order requires the use of terms like “pregnant women” or “pregnant mom” instead of “pregnant people” in official state language.

Sanders also advocated for using traditional terms like “woman” instead of “menstruating person” or “menstruating people.” Other changes include “birth mom” instead of “birthing person,” “breastfeeding” instead of “chestfeeding,” and “birth mom” and “woman” instead of “laboring person” and “birth-giver.”

Sanders has been a vocal opponent of removing femininity from language, and she criticized the trend of replacing gender-specific terms. She expressed her commitment to standing up for women and girls in the face of these changes, emphasizing that biological differences should not be ignored.

The executive order is expected to ban various terms from state government documents that Sanders considers ridiculous and part of the “woke nonsense” that erases women’s voices and experiences.

In her statement, she noted that it was the left that decided to replace the word “woman” and discard basic biology, and she is taking a stand against these changes by promoting the use of gender-specific language.

Sanders will officially introduce the executive order in a signing event and express her opposition to what she views as a trend of erasing women and girls’ identities and experiences.
