Authorities in Maryland have identified Pedro Argote as a person of interest in connection with the homicide by shooting of Andrew Wilkinson, who worked as an assistant judge in the Washington County Circuit Court. The authorities have labeled Argote as a suspect in the case. Wilkinson’s body, which was discovered in the driveway of his house in Hagerstown, Maryland, was found to have what seemed to be gunshot wounds. Wilkinson was 52 years old at the time of his death. Both Argote, who is 49 years old, and his automobile, which is described as a silver 2009 Mercedes GL450 with Maryland license plates 4EH0408, are the targets of an active search being conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Argote’s car has been characterized as having Maryland license plates 4EH0408.
According to the records that were submitted to the court, Wilkinson presided over a judgment hearing in Argote’s divorce case on Thursday; the next hearing in the case is scheduled to take place on October 31. Wilkinson was born in Guam in 1971, and he received his degrees from the University of North Carolina and Emory University School of Law. He was appointed to his position as an associate judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit in the year 2020. The year 2020 marked the beginning of Wilkinson’s career in the judicial system.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has requested that anybody who may have information on Argote’s location refrain from approaching him and instead immediately report their discoveries to the authorities in charge of the investigation rather than approaching him themselves. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, certain details are not being disclosed to the general public at this time. The investigation is currently in progress. There will be a press conference held later on in the morning that will provide further information on the event that took place.
