Israeli authorities said they bombed a Gaza mosque that terrorists were using as a command center. The Israeli intelligence agency Shin Bet assisted the IDF in the Al-Ansar Mosque attack.
Official IDF statement: “The IAF struck a subterranean terror facility in Jenin’s Al-Ansar mosque in a combined IDF-ISA operation. The mosque housed a Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror cell planning an assault.”
These terrorists carried out many assaults in recent months, according to the IDF. Recent data showed they were plotting another assault and using the mosque as a command center.
IDF images suggest that tunnels under the mosque stored several weapons.
Israel has increased targeted airstrikes in northern Gaza to degrade terrorist bases for ground operations. Israeli strikes against Iranian-backed Hezbollah fighters on the Israel-Lebanon border have also occurred.
