Rapper 50 Cent sparked a firestorm on social media with a post in which he criticized Vice President Biden for going on vacation to a beach in Delaware as the situation between Israel and Hamas continued to worsen.
50 Cent has shared a screenshot from the story “Biden hits the beach with Middle East, Congress in Chaos” on his Instagram account, along with the message “Hey Joe, get up, we’re in trouble!” A second tweet of his followed, in which he linked to an article headed “50 Cent burns Biden” and said, “We have major issues going on, Joe. Where do we stand with this? It’s time to kick back and relax!”
The rapper’s words were well received by conservatives on social media, many of whom shared his views and agreed with him. Ryan Fournier, the creator of Students for Trump, said in a tweet, “Rapper 50 Cent is doubling down on his condemnation of Joe Biden. “The people are beginning to awaken!”
The opinion was mirrored by Alex Bruesewitz, the chief executive officer of X Strategies LLC and a Trump advocate. He said, “Rapper 50 Cent calls out Joe Biden for vacationing while our country and the world suffer due to his failures.”
The social media staff at Twitchy.com has also chimed in on the matter, claiming that “[50 Cent] is speaking the truth.”
In spite of the fact that officials for 50 Cent were unable to provide an official reaction, the White House did have a response to the criticism. It was emphasized by the deputy spokesman for the White House, Andrew Bates, that presidents are able to carry out their responsibilities from any location in the world, be it close to the White House or in a conflict zone. Bates praised President Biden’s work ethic, noting that he works long hours every day and has had conversations with a number of international leaders about the conflict between Israel and Hamas and help for Palestinians.
Bates went on to explain that President Biden had sent further security support to Israel, offered a second shipment of help to Palestinian civilians, and made progress on a supplementary package targeted at national security, border financing, and economic growth. Bates also said that President Biden had provided a second shipment of aid to Palestinian civilians.
The choice of Vice President Joe Biden to take a vacation in Delaware while the violence between Israel and Hamas raged garnered severe criticism. He was accused of not doing enough to handle the ongoing issue and of spending an excessive amount of time away from the White House, both of which were criticisms leveled against him by his detractors.
