In a candid conversation with CNN’s Chris Wallace, Adam Driver shared his thoughts on his unique look and its impact on his acting career. The interview, which aired on Wallace’s show “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?”, saw the 40-year-old “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star reflecting on his distinctive appearance in Hollywood.

Responding to Wallace’s remark about not fitting the mold of a traditional movie star, Driver remarked, “I look how I look. I can’t change that, so I guess it helped me.” He also mentioned how his looks have been a point of conversation in the media, citing an instance where The New Yorker referred to him as having a “horse-face” and another where his appearance was humorously compared to a contender for the Kentucky Derby.

Driver expressed his philosophy of taking the rough with the smooth when it comes to public perception, choosing not to let either praise or criticism affect him too deeply.

The interview, however, sparked a backlash against Wallace on social media, with fans of Driver defending the actor’s appearance and calling out the journalist for his remarks. Supporters highlighted Driver’s appeal and contrasted it with Wallace’s own looks in their defense of the actor.

During the same segment, Driver delved into his role in Michael Mann’s upcoming biopic “Ferrari,” set to premiere on December 25, where he portrays the legendary automotive figure Enzo Ferrari. The actor also touched on the enduring legacy of his character Kylo Ren from the “Star Wars” saga, sharing how fans frequently remind him of Ren’s patricide, albeit now less frequently than before.

Despite the serious nature of killing Han Solo on-screen, Driver recalled filming the scene with Harrison Ford as an emotional and generous experience, marking a significant moment in his acting journey.
