Support for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid is gaining momentum within the Republican Party, as more GOP senators publicly endorse his candidacy. Senator Kevin Cramer of North Dakota recently declared his support for Trump, expressing his honor in standing with Trump to “restore peace, prosperity, and freedom” in the United States. Cramer’s endorsement aligns with Trump’s mission to “Make America Great Again” and follows the withdrawal of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum from the race.

Senator John Hoeven, also from North Dakota, echoed Cramer’s sentiments, highlighting Trump’s strengths in areas crucial for North Dakota, such as energy, regulatory burden, border security, economic growth, and military support. Hoeven particularly noted Trump’s understanding of the importance of robust farm policy for the state and the nation.

Alabama Senator Katie Britt joined her colleagues in endorsing Trump, asserting his proven track record in an op-ed for Yellowhammer, a local news outlet. Britt emphasized the need for a candidate who can secure the border and maintain peace through strength, qualities she believes Trump possesses based on his previous tenure as president.

Trump’s candidacy, announced early in the race, has now secured the support of the entire Alabama congressional delegation. This growing backing is significant as the GOP primary field narrows down to a few candidates, including Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

A recent Fox News survey highlights Trump’s commanding lead in the GOP nomination race, with support from a notable 62% of Republican primary voters. His campaign has garnered endorsements from 16 senators, over 80 House members, and seven governors, underscoring his substantial influence and support within the Republican Party as the race for the 2024 presidency progresses.
