Bombshell Documents Allege Fani Willis Hired Romantic Interest in Trump Case

In a dramatic turn of events, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is facing allegations of engaging in a romantic relationship with a private lawyer, Nathan Wade, whom she hired as a special prosecutor in the case against former President Donald Trump. These claims have surfaced in a court filing by Michael Roman, a co-defendant in the case and a former Trump campaign official.

Roman, who is among the 18 individuals charged alongside Trump in the state’s investigation into the ‘fake electors’ scheme, has included these allegations in a public court filing seeking the dismissal of charges against him. The document alleges that Willis was personally involved with Wade, who has reportedly received over $600,000 for his role as a special prosecutor assisting Willis’s office in the extensive probe into Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results.

The filing, however, does not present direct documentary evidence to support these claims. It cites ‘sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney’ who have confirmed the ongoing personal relationship between Willis and Wade.

The motion underscores the seriousness of the allegations, stating that they are not made lightly and have been thoroughly researched and investigated. It emphasizes that the issues raised are critical to the fairness of the justice system and, if not addressed, could potentially compromise the entire prosecution, invite errors, and undermine public confidence in the outcome of the proceedings.

The filing also references a sealed divorce filing for Wade, who is married, and goes on to claim that Willis and Wade have traveled together to vacation destinations such as Napa Valley, Florida, and the Caribbean. It questions the work-related necessity of such trips to traditional vacation spots.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Willis’s office and Wade for comments. A spokesperson for Willis informed the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the DA’s office would respond through appropriate court filings.

The allegations suggest that Willis appointed her romantic partner to a significant role in the high-profile case, raising questions about the propriety of their professional relationship. The filing also claims that Willis and Wade have been seen together privately in the Atlanta area and may have cohabitated.

Additionally, the document questions the authorization of county funds used to retain Wade for the case. Roman, who faces charges including racketeering conspiracy and conspiracy to commit forgery, is seeking the dismissal of the charges in light of these allegations.
