Former President Donald Trump, in a recent Fox News Town Hall in Des Moines, Iowa, criticized the Biden administration for bringing “chaos” to the United States. Trump, leading the 2024 GOP primary field, vowed to restore order and success in a potential second term. The town hall, co-moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, provided a platform for Trump to address various national issues and his plans for the future.

Trump accused the current administration of causing chaos at the border, in the military, and in the country’s overall governance. He contrasted this with his term, claiming that his administration experienced minimal chaos, most of which he attributed to Democrats’ actions against him. Trump highlighted his achievements, including the largest tax and regulation cuts in history, and emphasized his administration’s avoidance of wars.

Addressing the economy, Trump claimed that the stock market is performing well because of his lead in the polls against President Biden. He expressed concern that if he doesn’t win the upcoming election, the stock market might crash. Trump also clarified his previous comments about not wanting to be Herbert Hoover, explaining that he believes a market crash is likely if he doesn’t win.

Trump defended his record on government spending, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, arguing that his administration’s financial interventions prevented a depression. He criticized the current administration’s handling of the national debt and their focus on green energy initiatives, which he referred to as the “Green New Scam.”

Regarding his potential running mate, Trump hinted that he has already made a choice but did not reveal any names. He expressed openness to mending fences with his opponents from the primary race.

Trump’s appearance at the town hall and his statements reflect his ongoing critique of the Biden administration and his vision for a possible second term, focusing on border security, energy independence, and strengthening the military and economy.
