Fani Willis Makes New Confession About Lover, Begs To Not Cancel Trump Case

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has acknowledged a personal relationship with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor appointed in the election interference case against former President Donald Trump. This admission was part of a comprehensive 176-page legal filing on Friday, where Willis rebutted claims that their relationship compromised the case’s integrity.

Willis and Wade have been professional colleagues and friends since 2019, but Willis clarified that their personal relationship did not commence until after Wade’s appointment in November 2021. This timeline, supported by a sworn affidavit from Wade, contradicts allegations of a “clandestine” relationship made by Trump co-defendant Michael Roman.

In response to Roman’s motion, which aimed to dismiss the charges against him and exclude Willis and Wade from the prosecution, Willis defended Wade’s appointment and compensation. She highlighted his extensive legal career and dismissed the notion that their relationship, or Wade’s earnings, had any undue influence on the case proceedings.

The filing also addressed allegations of Wade funding luxury trips for Willis, asserting that travel expenses were shared personally and not derived from the funds paid to Wade for his role in the investigation.

Willis argued against the need for disqualification based on their relationship, pointing out that personal connections among defense attorneys in the case did not warrant their exclusion. She urged the judge to dismiss Roman’s subpoenas and motions without a hearing.

The revelation has added another layer of complexity to the high-profile case against Trump and 14 co-defendants charged with attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. Willis’s team argued for maintaining her and her office’s involvement, emphasizing the absence of any financial or personal conflict of interest that would justify their removal.

As the case progresses, with a hearing set for February 15 to address Roman’s allegations, the legal and public scrutiny of Willis and Wade’s relationship underscores the intricate dynamics at play in the ongoing investigation into election interference.
