I remember a time when higher education actually meant something. It was a big deal and it typically meant you could find a good job, obtain connections, the whole 9 yards. The kids and the faculty were respected and not crazy loons…
Nowadays it seems more like a brainwashing pod for the liberal left to literally point at anything “difficult” and call it racist.
Enter Professor Laurie Rubel, a math professor at Brooklyn College, took the time to write a paper where she argues that meritocracy in math classes hold back minorities and even calling it a “tool of whiteness”.
Ya see… she says that meritocracy is “oftentimes” associated with hard work” — and they call Conservatives racist?
I’m holding back cussing during this entire articles, in case you were wondering.
Campus Reform linked out to a PDF file of the article where the “professor” calls upon another article to make her case, “Teachers often view participation of marginalized students as off-task, unproductive, or distracting, even when it reflects students’ membership of and competence in another social context, unbeknownst to the teacher.”
“By claiming not to notice, the teacher is saying that she is dismissing one of the most salient features of the child’s identity and that she does not account for it in her curricular planning and instruction,” she wrote, citing another education theorist.
And again I say… they have the nerve to call Conservatives and Republicans racist!
This isn’t the first time, you guys… If you’ll recall, we wrote an article a few months back about Rochelle Gutierrez, a University of Illinois math professor, made a pretty wild claim recently essentially calling math racist.
“On many levels, mathematics itself operates as Whiteness,” according to Campus Reform. “Who gets credit for doing and developing mathematics, who is capable in mathematics, and who is seen as part of the mathematical community is generally viewed as White.”
“Are we really that smart just because we do mathematics?”
