A group of masked individuals disrupted classes at Columbia University, distributing materials that contained antisemitic content, according to university officials. The incident, which took place during scheduled lectures, has sparked concern among students and faculty, prompting calls for increased security measures on campus.

Eyewitnesses reported that the masked individuals entered multiple classrooms, handing out flyers with inflammatory rhetoric and symbols before quickly leaving the premises. Some students described the experience as unsettling, noting the disruption caused anxiety among those present.

University officials have condemned the incident, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. In a statement, the administration assured students and staff that an investigation is underway and that those responsible will be held accountable for violating the institution’s policies.

Law enforcement agencies have been alerted and are working alongside campus security to identify the individuals involved. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and gathering statements from witnesses to better understand how the group gained access to the buildings and orchestrated the disruption.

Student organizations have also responded, with several groups denouncing the distribution of hateful material and calling for unity against discrimination. University leadership has scheduled meetings with student representatives to address concerns and discuss strategies to prevent similar incidents in the future.

As the investigation continues, Columbia University has urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying those responsible and ensuring that the campus remains a welcoming space for all.
