Delta Air Lines has addressed circulating rumors regarding the qualifications of the crew involved in the recent crash of Flight 4819 at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The airline emphasized that both the captain and first officer were fully certified and met all necessary federal requirements.

The incident, which occurred during landing, resulted in the aircraft flipping over and catching fire. All 80 passengers and crew members survived, though 21 individuals sustained injuries. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada, in collaboration with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.

Delta has expressed gratitude for the swift response of emergency personnel and reiterated its commitment to cooperating fully with investigative authorities. The airline also stated that it is providing support to all affected passengers and crew members during this time.
