Federal Judge Faces White House Criticism Over Block on Trump’s Deportation Flights

The White House issued a sharp response after a federal judge moved to halt deportation flights authorized by the Trump administration targeting illegal immigrants, including known gang members. The ruling temporarily blocked the removal of detainees set for flights to El Salvador, sparking backlash from administration officials who called the decision a dangerous interference with national security efforts.

According to officials, the operation was part of a broader crackdown on violent criminal groups, including individuals affiliated with transnational gangs. Flights carrying these individuals were scheduled but halted following the court order, raising concerns about the growing legal obstacles to enforcing immigration laws.

The White House argued that the judge’s decision undermines the executive branch’s authority to remove non-citizens engaged in criminal activity, jeopardizing community safety. Officials insisted the targeted individuals had exhausted due process and their deportations were lawful.

The administration vowed to appeal the decision and continue pressing for the removal of illegal migrants deemed threats to public safety, reiterating its stance on stricter enforcement measures. The case is expected to escalate as the legal battle over immigration policies intensifies.
