The White House and U.S. Border Patrol sparked attention online after releasing a meme video featuring the 1990s hit song “Closing Time” while highlighting ongoing deportation efforts. The video, shared on official government channels, showed footage of deportation flights and border enforcement actions synced to the popular track’s iconic line, “You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”

Officials confirmed the video was intended to emphasize the administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, as thousands of deportations continue under President Trump’s renewed border policies. The footage featured detained migrants boarding deportation flights and agents processing individuals for removal, sending a clear message that illegal entry would not lead to indefinite stay.

The post quickly went viral, drawing strong reactions across social media. Supporters praised the bold messaging, while critics accused the administration of trivializing deportations. White House officials, however, defended the video, stating it was designed to remind the public of their firm commitment to upholding immigration laws and ensuring consequences for illegal border crossings.

The meme marks the latest example of the administration’s growing use of viral media to promote enforcement priorities and respond to opponents of its border policies.
