Television host and military veteran Pete Hegseth addressed the recent controversy surrounding leaked group text messages linked to the Yemen strike operation, firmly denying that any war plans were discussed in the conversation. Speaking publicly for the first time since the scandal broke, Hegseth dismissed claims that sensitive military strategies were shared through the private chat.

The incident drew widespread attention after reports surfaced alleging that members of a group text, which included Hegseth, exchanged messages related to a U.S. strike in Yemen. Critics raised concerns that the discussion may have involved classified information or operational details.

Hegseth clarified that the messages were informal and did not contain any plans, strategies, or classified materials connected to the military operation. He labeled the allegations as exaggerated and politically motivated, accusing opponents of distorting the context of the private exchange.

The controversy comes amid heightened scrutiny over national security leaks and the handling of sensitive information within political and media circles. Hegseth defended himself and other members of the chat, stating that the conversation did not violate any security protocols or compromise military operations.

Government officials have not confirmed whether an investigation is underway regarding the leak. Meanwhile, Hegseth emphasized his respect for military confidentiality and insisted that no operational details regarding the Yemen strike were ever discussed in the group text.
