While transporting a patient to the hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, a firefighter-paramedic was mortally stabbed on Sunday.
Shanetta Boswell, 39, was apprehended by police after they discovered her injured on the side of a highway. Her victim, 29-year-old paramedic Graham Hoffman, was assaulted within the ambulance. Allegedly, Boswell produced a knife and wounded Hoffman in the chest while Hoffman and the driver transported her for medical treatment.h
Without delay, the ambulance driver initiated an emergency call. Hoffman passed away at North Kansas City Hospital as a result of his injuries, despite ongoing efforts to save him.
Boswell was placed under arrest at the site and is currently facing a variety of charges, including first-degree murder, armed criminal action, assault, and resisting arrest. Currently, she is being detained on a $1 million surety.
Hoffman, a firefighter with the Kansas City Fire Department since 2022, was regarded by his colleagues as a devoted first responder who was dedicated to assisting others.
