A 2018 interview featuring Representative Ilhan Omar has resurfaced, drawing sharp criticism from conservatives. In the interview, Omar stated that Americans should be more fearful of white men, attributing them to the majority of deaths in the country. She suggested that policies should focus on monitoring and preventing the radicalization of white men.

Vice President JD Vance condemned Omar’s remarks, labeling them as “genocidal language” and calling her a disgrace. Other Republican figures echoed similar sentiments, accusing Omar of blatant racism.

Omar defended her comments by referencing an Anti-Defamation League report indicating that white supremacists were responsible for 78% of extremist-related murders. She also criticized her detractors for supporting actions in Gaza, implying a double standard in their accusations.

The controversy has intensified discussions around race, extremism, and political rhetoric in the United States.
