A former top intelligence official has accused the FBI of protecting Hillary Clinton while aggressively pursuing Donald Trump during his presidency. According to the allegations, senior figures within the bureau took deliberate steps to cover for Clinton in multiple investigations, all while launching and sustaining high-level probes into Trump based on disputed evidence.
Kash Patel, who previously served as a top aide in national security and intelligence roles, claims the FBI operated with bias at the highest levels. He pointed to a pattern of decisions he believes show the bureau consistently favored Clinton—refusing to act on what he described as credible leads involving her campaign—while amplifying weak or unverified claims against Trump.
The accusations add fuel to longstanding criticisms of the FBI’s handling of politically sensitive investigations. Patel also emphasized that these internal decisions were not limited to one or two agents, but allegedly reflected systemic actions taken by senior officials within the bureau throughout Trump’s term in office.
The bureau has not issued a new comment regarding these specific allegations.
