Three of Iran’s most vital nuclear installations—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—were the targets of a coordinated airstrike by the United States. The goal of the operation was to interfere with Iran’s nuclear infrastructure using long-range cruise missiles and precision-guided bunker-buster bombs.

Defense analysts said that while the strikes caused significant structural damage, the nuclear program was not entirely destroyed. According to intelligence estimates, Iran might have minimized long-term setbacks by moving important components, like centrifuges and enriched uranium, prior to the assaults.

As law enforcement authorities pointed to a proven pattern of Iranian-linked plots on American soil, including attempted assassinations and acts of sabotage, the strikes also rekindled national security worries. Major American localities responded by tightening security measures and alerting federal officials.
