In a candid interview on My View With Lara Trump, President Donald Trump outlined how he wants to be remembered: “a good person, but a person that saved our country.” He described the nation as teetering on collapse before his return in 2024, citing urgent concerns over border security, inflation, and foreign policy.

Trump said his second term has been marked by unprecedented unity and productivity, crediting a cohesive executive team. He reflected on the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, admitting security forces made mistakes but expressed confidence in his protection detail’s capabilities going forward.

By the end of his presidency, Trump aims to solidify his image as the leader who pulled the U.S. back from the brink and revitalized its global standing.
