Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced he will meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year term for her role in the Jeffrey Epstein case, in the coming days. The Justice Department has reached out to her legal counsel to determine if she can provide information implicating others connected to the scandal.

This marks the first instance of the DOJ engaging Maxwell since her conviction, and aims to support President Trump’s directive to release any credible evidence related to Epstein’s network. Maxwell’s attorney confirmed ongoing talks and expressed her willingness to cooperate.

Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee has approved a motion to subpoena Maxwell for a formal deposition as part of its investigation into Epstein. Additionally, Attorney General Pam Bondi has submitted a court request to unseal grand jury transcripts from both the Epstein and Maxwell cases, sparking legislative tensions and raising questions about transparency and political timing ahead of the upcoming congressional recess.
