The ongoing manhunt for Travis Decker, the suspect in the tragic deaths of his three daughters, has taken another turn following forensic analysis: bones discovered during a recent grid search have been confirmed as animal remains, not human.

Investigators, including the FBI and local law enforcement, conducted an extensive two-day sweep covering nearly 250 acres near Rock Island Campground, where the girls were found earlier. Despite the extensive effort, the bones retrieved from the scene do not belong to Decker, nor are they human. The FBI has indicated that there are no expected updates stemming from that specific discovery.

Decker, an ex-military serviceman, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities continue their search, supported by federal, state, and local agencies, while offering a reward for information leading to his capture. No breakthroughs have yet surfaced, and the investigation presses on in pursuit of closure for the victims’ family.
