Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts has called on President Donald Trump to rescind pardons granted to individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol breach, tying the request to the recent assassination of activist Charlie Kirk.
Speaking during a CNN interview, Moulton said if Trump truly wants to stem political violence, he should begin by revoking pardons for those who attacked law enforcement, targeted Speaker Pelosi, and attempted harm against Vice President Pence during the Capitol attack.
Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead while speaking at Utah Valley University during his “American Comeback Tour.” Law enforcement recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle and obtained video footage showing a suspect fleeing from a nearby building; the assailant has not yet been arrested.
