President Donald Trump has lauded FBI Director Kash Patel for the swift arrest of Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, just 33 hours after the fatal shooting at Utah Valley University.
In a recent interview, Trump praised the FBI’s handling of the investigation, saying Patel and his team did “a great job.” Authorities say Robinson climbed a rooftop around noon, fired a single shot, then fled into nearby woods where the rifle used was later recovered.
The quick turnaround—from shooting, to collecting security footage and forensic traces, to conducting interviews—led to Robinson’s capture without any confirmed additional suspects. The case continues under investigation.
