A Texas high school student has come under fire after recreating Charlie Kirk’s killing during a Turning Point USA event. The student was seen pointing what appeared to be a toy gun at a peer during class, mimicking how Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking on stage.
The incident occurred in a hallway at Harris County High School and was captured on video by other students. The footage shows a young man aiming a water pistol at another student mimicking Kirk’s posture. The school pummeled with calls from parents and administrators after the video went viral on social media.
In response, the school district disciplined the student and announced it would conduct a full investigation. Administrators said they take matters of simulated violence seriously and are reviewing both student behavior and security protocols.
Turning Point USA, the conservative organization behind the tour where the real assassination took place, has condemned the reenactment and urged schools to reinforce respect for public figures, regardless of political beliefs.
