During a candlelight vigil in Boston Common honoring Charlie Kirk, police arrested two individuals after disturbances broke out.
One suspect, 38-year-old Joseph Antuan Castro Del Rio, was charged with disorderly conduct after repeatedly using a microphone and amplification device to interrupt the vigil, despite being asked to stop.
A minor was also arrested on suspicion of assault and battery. Authorities say he carried a knife at the time and allegedly struck someone wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Barricades separated vigil attendees from counter-protesters, and law enforcement was deployed both on the ground and from vantage points near the statehouse to maintain order.
