Charlie Kirk’s organization Turning Point USA, led by Erika Kirk, is urging ABC-affiliate stations not to broadcast Jimmy Kimmel Live! when it returns to air.
The appeal comes after Kimmel was suspended by Disney/ABC following his comments about MAGA supporters and the recent murder of Charlie Kirk. Turning Point alleges that the show and its parent company “caved” by reinstating Kimmel without sufficient accountability.
Major affiliate groups such as Sinclair and Nexstar had already refused to carry the show, demanding apologies or other actions. The dispute has sparked broad debate over free speech in media, editorial responsibility, and what broadcasters owe to communities offended by controversial remarks.
