Conservative activist Charlie Kirk penned a May 2 letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he expressed his “deep love for Israel” and outlined a detailed plan to combat rising anti-Israel sentiment in the U.S., especially among Gen Z.
In the letter, Kirk warned that Israel was “losing the information war” and urged the creation of a rapid response communications unit and an “Israel Truth Network” to challenge misinformation. He also suggested that recently freed hostages participate in U.S. speaking tours to humanize the conflict and counteract propagandistic narratives.
Kirk framed his advice as stemming from concern that waning U.S. public opinion could weaken political and military support for Israel. He also criticized the reliance on American surrogates for messaging and stated that he often felt more pressure defending Israel publicly than its own government.
The correspondence resurfaced shortly after Netanyahu publicly referred to it while denying conspiracy claims that Israel had any involvement in Kirk’s assassination. His alleged killer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is in custody and is expected to face a preliminary hearing on October 30.
