Rachel Dumovich, 29, and her husband, Brandon, 30, of Sharon, Wisconsin, were discovered fatally shot inside their parked car early Monday morning — just days before their first wedding anniversary.
Harvard, Illinois police found their vehicle on a roadside with its hazard lights flashing. When officers approached, both were found deceased, each with a single gunshot wound. A firearm was recovered inside the car.
The couple had been middle school friends and reconnected later in life, dating from 2022 before marrying on October 12, 2024. Their wedding page describes years of friendship leading up to their decision to wed.
Investigators said there is no immediate sign of a threat to the public. An autopsy has been scheduled, and authorities are actively seeking information from anyone who might have relevant details.
