A Utah judge issued a protective order barring 22-year-old Tyler Robinson from contacting Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead during a campus event in Orem on September 10, 2025. Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, and the state has declared its intention to seek the death penalty.
Erika Kirk was recently appointed to lead the organization her husband founded and addressed a crowd of supporters, stating she forgives Robinson and pledges to uphold her late husband’s mission. Meanwhile, Robinson appeared virtually in court wearing a suicide-prevention smock, entered no plea and remains jailed without bail as his legal team is being appointed.
