A batch of newly released emails from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein includes a message in which Epstein states that the widely circulated photograph showing Prince Andrew with Virginia Giuffre was real. In the 2011 communication, Epstein confirms she “was on my plane, and yes she had her picture taken with Andrew.”
The image, first published in 2011, depicts Giuffre at age 17 with Andrew’s arm around her waist at the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell. Andrew had publicly questioned the photo’s authenticity and maintained that he did not remember meeting Giuffre.
Additional correspondence shows Prince Andrew emailing Epstein at the time, asking that any official statement “clearly that I am NOT involved…” and declaring, “I can’t take any more of this, my end.” These revelations mark a sharp departure from Andrew’s public account of his relationship with Epstein—calling into question his claims that contact ended before Giuffre’s allegations became public.
These documents add fresh momentum to ongoing investigative scrutiny of Andrew’s ties to Epstein’s network and have prompted renewed calls for him to testify before congressional and UK investigative bodies.
